Alicja Stanska

ABOUT ALICJA
“Alicja Stańska is more than an exceptional embroiderer. A true polymath, she embroiders everything, everywhere — even on swimming pools and yachts. Passionate about technology, fashion, design, and architecture, this graduate of Lesage School delved into material science to create decorative and functional materials that can incorporate embroidery nearly anywhere, from furniture to bathtubs.” Art Media Agency
Alicja Stanska is a multidisciplinary artist whose work seamlessly fuses haute couture, sculpture, craftsmanship, and spiritual narrative. For over a decade, she has been creating pieces that delicately balance luxury with symbolism, weaving emotion, geometry, and history into deeply personal storytelling.
Affiliated with esteemed institutions such as the Michelangelo Foundation and HOMO FABER in Switzerland, Stanska has exhibited in Venice, Geneva, Milan, London, Paris, and Warsaw. Her works have been featured at prestigious events including the Rolls-Royce Club in London, Milan Jewelry Week, Milan Design Week, Révélations at the Grand Palais, and the GemGenève Masterpiece Space Art Exhibition, where her sculpture inaugurated a new chapter of this renowned Swiss event.
In 2024, she was selected for the exclusive FELLOWSHIP program led by the Michelangelo Foundation in Switzerland. Her accolades include being a finalist in the Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery in London, as well as receiving the title of “Great Pole in France” awarded by the Polish Embassy in Paris.
Since 2017, she has served as the President of the Foundation for the Promotion of Artists and Crafts, which aspires to develop therapeutic programs for children through craftsmanship. Through her foundation, Alicja also provides artistic and graphic support to cardiac surgeons and a cardiology hospital in Warsaw, contributing to the Foundation for Transplantation’s philanthropic goals.
As a lecturer and activist, she has addressed themes such as “Art & New Technologies” and “21st Century Slavery”, performing across cities like Barcelona, Venice, Paris, Kraków, Zakopane, and Wrocław. In 2013, she completed her training at École Lesage in Paris, one of the world’s leading haute couture embroidery schools.
“A master artisan in every sense, the intricacy of her works illustrates the patience and dedication of her calling and the charisma of a rebel-soul artist who is, without exception, unafraid to challenge any unfair status quo. Alicja Stanska’s haute couture artworks and sculptures are cherished by discerning art collectors.”
